This also applies to all the other #’s when over torqued or wrong applications.Some of these fasteners are intended for very light applications, please contact or visit the manufacturer’s web site for more information.***Improper use / application / or use of impact drivers on certain size and type of fasteners may cause the heads to break off you might need to drill pilot holes the screws might even break despite pilot holes depending on the screw, type of wood and/ or the toque used to drive the screw etc. Bits longer than 2” and torque bits will cause problems such as heads breaking off, slipping, stripping, cavatate etc.( Bits longer than 2“ have greater chance to break the screws) ***** Not using PROPER BIT (worn-out bit) or failure to drill a proper THICKNESS and DEPTH pilot holes for long screws WILL BREAK the screw or make it strip, that does not mean the screws are defective and will not be eligible for returns as a defective.***** We recommend that if you are concerned with the coating or the strength of the screw is to purchase small quantity and try it first before making a large order to see if the fastener you are about to purchase is suitable for your application.
