You can throw away both pieces of brown paper. #4 Affix the repair surface with the adhesive to the repair surface that does not have the adhesive. This stuff is VERY STICKY so more-than-likely, you will have one chance to get it right. #5 Press the two parts together, any adhesive that hangs out of the sides because it was too big will come off easily, just rub it with your finger and it will ball up.
