MicroLubrol offers exceptional quality Molybdenum Disulfide Technical Grade Powder. Molybdenum Disulfide is a solid lubricant that is used in industrial, manufacturing, mining, marine, agriculture and automotive applications to reduce friction and wear. It lubricates metal surfaces by natural metal-to-metal contact or by manually burnishing the powder onto the metal surface. It is used as an additive to impart extreme pressure performance to lubricants, and to impart lubricity in other industrial and commercial applications. It is also useful as a metal-to-plastic lubricant at low to medium contact pressures. SPECIFICATIONS: – High Purity, > 98% molybdenum disulfide. – Meets MIL specs. MIL-M-7866 and AMS-M-7866. – Used as a solid lubricant additive in plastics, coatings, metalworking compounds and other industrial products. – High temperature, chemical and extreme contact pressure resistance. – Best grade as lubricant additive: meets MIL specs and it is the grade with the lowest acid number for optimum long term performance as an additive in greases and pastes of all consistencies from semi-fluid (NLGI 00), to soft (NLGI 0-1), to normal (NLGI 2-3), to hard (NLGI 4-6).
